At Evonith Steel, we are dedicated to empowering women in our community, providing them with opportunities for alternative financial independence and social respect. Through our ongoing People First initiative, we have launched a Rural Livelihood Program in five neighbouring villages, aiming to empower local women through small-scale enterprises and propel them towards a path of financial independence.
7 self-help groups across the five neighbouring villages expressed their interest in pursuing various entrepreneurial endeavours. These ventures included the following:
- Spice Enterprise at Selukate
- Production of Organic fertilizer
- Business of providing Dinnerware on rent
- Flour mill Enterprise at Chitoda
- Centering plate unit Enterprise at Barbadi
These units will not only provide sustainable livelihood options for the women but also contribute to the promotion of natural and eco-friendly practices in agriculture and households.
To commemorate this significant milestone, we had the honour of felicitating our Ajeevika Sakhis—the brave women who have placed their trust in us and have become influential leaders in their communities. Their dedication and determination inspire us, and we are immensely proud of the impact they are making, not just in their own lives but also in the lives of other women in their neighbourhoods.
Today, we celebrate the resilience and accomplishments of these women who are emerging as leaders, breaking barriers, and making a positive difference in their lives and the lives of others. They are the driving force behind the transformation we are witnessing in our community, and we are committed to supporting them every step of the way.
Join us in celebrating these remarkable women as we continue our journey towards a more inclusive and empowered society.
